Finally! That was a HUGE hurdle.

I've been toiling away at this project betwixt everything else. As of yesterday, I finished the last creature stat block. There was something like 60 of them, which is kidna absurd for a pamphlet based project.
Now that I have the spacing for those, I can write the instructions and the last few tables and we'll be good to go.
I do have to admit... this might be our first project that we don't fulfill on time. Our goal was December, but if I'm being honest, It's looking more like January at this point. We still need to launch the pledge manager (which I've also been working on).
If this becomes the case, sorry in advance! We try really hard to get everything out on time or early. But life does happen, I guess.
Thanks for your paitence, folks! If you have any questions, shoot them my way!

Alright, folks! It seems like most of you are pretty against the digital only monsters. Fair! Thankfully, it seems another solution may have presented itself.
First off, Philip Reed is amazing. He's the fellow who created the zine storage box that inspired this whole thing. I was chatting with him yesterday and he showed me a new format he was working on.
It was a hug fricken map that folded down into the size of a pamphlet! Like, double the size of the already big pamphlets I was using for this! It looks perfect for the Shadow Master pamphlet.
(For reference, the other pamphlets are 11 by 17. This one will be 23 by 17.)
It's certainly more expensive, but it looks like we can use that and only come out a little over budget.
So yeah, for now, everything seems back on track. I'm going back to monster layout. (It's kinda my fault for creating so many damn monsters). I'll keep y'all posted!

PS. If you haven't seen it yet, our next Kickstarter is for the second edition of Marching Order, our solo dungeon delving game. It's the biggest thing we've ever done. Take a look here. (We're five followers away from 700!)
Big question - need input

Hey, folks!
The project is marching right along. I've hit a snag, however.
As I was laying out the stats for all the monsters the pamphlets uses I realized there is no way they'll all fit in on pamphlet. Which kinda sucks.
I'd really like that 5th pamphlet to not just be a collection of monster stats, but also a bunch of tools, tables, etc. that can be used while playing. I want to pack it with cool stuff.
So I was talking to Brad today and we can up with a possible solution - how would folks feel if the monsters were digital? There would be QR codes on the pamphlet that would go to our website where there were monster lists for their respective systems? And we could make a PDF for them as well (and possibly include Shadowdark stats?)
The other option we've come up with so far is a rewrite, which isn't my favorite. It'd mean more time and less original content.
Our budget is a lil tight on this one, which also hampers our options. I'm open to other suggestions, but can't promise we can implement them.
So what do you think, folks? I want to get you as much gaming content as I can with this, but only if you enjoy the way I'm doing it! Do me a favor and comment what you're thinking.
Or, if you don't want your thoughts to be public for any reason, just email me at [email protected].
Thanks!

Thank you so much, everyone! I finished the text for pamphlet four yesterday, which means there's just one more to go.
I'll keep you posted on the progress, but we're looking pretty good right now!
I appreciate everyone that backed this to make it happen. It was an odd little project, and one I often found myself at odds to describe. I think it does a lot of cool, special things, but I'll let you be the judge of that when I get it into your hands.
Thanks again, everyone. You're the best.

The Fantasy Grind has Funded!
We funded overnight here in the US. The Fantasy Grind is now real!
I'd like to apologize about the lack of updates thus far. I've been in the process of moving across the country an it has been a WEEK! I believe I've crested the hilltop, however, and things should be a little smoother from here on out.
But let's talk about the status of the project. So Three and a half pamphlets out of the five are all written and have a rough layout. I have high hopes of completing the fourth one today or tomorrow. There is a bit of art we have to figure out yet - namely the hex maps, but that shouldn't be too big of a stumbling block.
These have been a lot of fun to work on. I've been really enjoying these classic fantasy style hex crawls, each with it cool mechanical twist. It's been a fun playground of both story and design. I hope you love them as much as I have.
Questions? Leave a reply! I'm happy to answer them.

Save Your Pamphlets
Pamphlet adventures are friggin awesome. You now what sucks about them, though? Trying to store them on your shelves. They just get lost amongst the books and all bent. 😭
But worry not - Philip Reed has the solution. He is putting out an absolutely gorgeous storage box for your pamphlets, ad they're chock full of function. These boxes have plenty of random tables and tools for your games. You can back it here.
